Light Tutorial: Red Dress

If you stop by here regularly you might have seen my Photo Recipe posts. It’s time for a new one and this time with a female subject. If you want to have a look at the previous ones you can find them here: BMX and In the Air.

This shot was done on the same night as the other two – and location is the same as you might spot with the great background.

And here is the light setup for the shot. It was all done with speedlites, triggered by Elinchrom Skyports.

Lighting Setup

The shot was done with a Canon EOS 5D Mark II. The lens was as far as I remember a Canon EF 85L F1.2 but I am
not 100% if I used the 70-200L F2.8 IS instead – I just cant remember, but the lens was at 85mm regardless.

Settings for the shot: 1/125 sec. – F8 – iso100
